We do not just think about the environment. We protect it.

We are well aware that natural resources are limited. This is all the more reason for us to use them sparingly in our daily operations.

Since the late 1980s, environmental protection has therefore been a binding corporate goal at Beiersdorf, and one that is firmly integrated into all our business processes. Our Sustainability Guidelines and our dedicated management system guarantee that our measures are of a high standard and are uniform at our plants throughout the world. Our sustainability reporting has been developed from the associated annual reports.

Our concept is successful because we regard environmental protection as a task shared by all employees. In addition, we maintain contacts with other companies and with interest groups, who we discuss our activities with in order to improve them.

In future, we shall also do all we can to have the lowest possible impact upon the environment.

Facts and Figures

The Global Reporting Initiative precisely defines what information a sustainability report should contain – including in the area of environmental protection. We report on all the required information.

We approach our internal plant audits systematically. Our audits reflect our many years of experience and our pooling of knowledge throughout the world.

A proactive approach to climate protection

The Bundesdeutsche Arbeitskreis für Umweltbewusstes Management e.V. (B.A.U.M. – German Environmental Management Association) was commissioned to run the first climate competition in Hamburg, which was part of the Hamburg climate concept 2007-2012. Beiersdorf took part as a premium partner of it.
